Autism Speaks

At Autism Speaks, our goal is to change the future for all who struggle with autism spectrum disorders.

We are dedicated to funding global biomedical research into the causes, prevention, treatments, and cure for autism; to raising public awareness about autism and its effects on individuals, families, and society; and to bringing hope to all who deal with the hardships of this disorder. We are committed to raising the funds necessary to support these goals.

Autism Speaks aims to bring the autism community together as one strong voice to urge the government and private sector to listen to our concerns and take action to address this urgent global health crisis. It is our firm belief that, working together, we will find the missing pieces of the puzzle.

Back On My Feet

Back on My Feet, which launched in Philadelphia in 2007, is a nonprofit organization that promotes the self-sufficiency of the homeless population by engaging them in running to build strength, confidence and self-esteem. Members must run Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings and maintain a 90 percent attendance rating in order to move forward in the program and gain access to job training, employment and housing opportunities. In 2009, BOMF helped more than 120 members find employment, enroll into job training programs and/or assist in moving members out of the shelter into independent living. BOMF has received incredible media support, including attention from NBC Nightly News , ABC World News and CNN, for its ingenuity in tackling this difficult social issue. More information can be found at www.backonmyfeet.org.
